As the daughter of a small business owner, my goal is to see businesses and their owners thrive in their communities. I've witnessed how hard it can be, and the enormous dedication required to run a company. I pride myself in making that huge effort more manageable for my clients. Sometimes my clients need a more "set it and forget it" approach, and others want a team player involved in the day-to-day. Either way, my team adapts to fit the communication requirements, level of involvement and reporting needs of my clients. I provide accurate, reliable and efficient services with professionalism and understanding, and I love my job. My experience and my team's skill set in several different fields allows AK to offer bookkeeping and support services that small businesses need.
There are many nuanced pieces to running a business and having efficient, accurate and timely financials are key to making decisions and maintaining momentum. And from one business owner to another - having flexible, dedicated support and expertise at your fingertips can be a game changer! I am dedicated to following GAAP, maintaining the highest level of integrity and building lasting partnerships with local companies.
When not working with my wonderful clients and amazing team, I spend time with my family and our 5 rescue animals. I enjoy adventuring in the Puget Sound's great bounty of trails, ski slopes, and waterways as much as possible and feel grateful to call the Pacific Northwest my home.

Systems We Use
QuickBooks
Most of our smaller clients utilize QuickBooks Online (or Desktop) accounting software. The AK team experts know the best practices for efficient accounting in QB and how to how to set up our client's accounts with the most advantageous features.
Appfolio
For clients with a small or more expansive portfolio of rental holdings, AK thinks this program is for you! We love efficiency when it doesn't sacrifice accuracy, and this all-in-one has all the necessary property management tools fully integrated with accounting processes. AK's Team has experience in this specialized program that is revamping the the business of commercial and residential property accounting.
Xero
AK has experience and expertise in the rising star of budget accounting software, Xero! We like the simplicity of this program and recommend it to our Sole Prop and LLC clients that need minimal accounting features.
Toast
While Toast is not an accounting software our team is familiar with the end user / server experience all the way up to its accounting integrations and reporting. We have experience onboarding, data mapping, troubleshooting and integrating with QuickBooks and R365.
R365
We prefer our restaurant clients utilize the robust program, Restaurant 365 for accounting and operations. The AK Team loves the actionable deliverables and thorough accounting features that this all-in-one has to offer. R365 integrates with Toast and other POS systems.
Administrative Programs
Custom spreadsheets on Excel, data and KPI tracking, any report you need, we can make. We utilize the Microsoft suite, and for clients that want it: Teams chats and managed SharePoint filing systems. For Payroll, AK runs bi-monthly company payrolls (15th and last day of month) through Gusto. We handle payroll and benefit onboarding.
